Join us for this hands-on Land & Table apple tree pruning workshop with orchardist, heirloom apple enthusiast, and cidermaker John Hoskins on Saturday, February 18 (10 am – 12 noon). This will be an introductory workshop on the art and science of pruning apple trees.
Our first book that we’ll be reading for the launch of the Land & Table Book Club is by self-professed ‘lunatic’ farmer Joel Salatin. Like all his books, ‘Folks This Ain’t Normal’ is a thought provoking read. We’ll be reading it through December and then will discuss the book in our first meeting on Thursday, January 5th (7:00-8:30pm) at the Bedford Central public Library in the town of Bedford.
Books have played an important role for many of us in our journey to embracing regenerative agriculture, eating local, and self-reliant living. We are launching several pilot L&T Book Club groups in 2023.
