Potlucks
Can anyone attend your monthly potlucks?
Yes, the Land & Table monthly potlucks are open to the public and do not require any membership. All are welcome!
What should I bring to the potluck?
Bring your own dishware (plate, fork, spoon, etc), and food to share. Sometimes we ask you to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket because we are meeting outdoors – so watch for details related to each event.
Are there food rules for the potlucks?
There aren’t really rules but we have a few guidelines:
- Keep it healthy. Simple ingredients are best.
- Homemade – or store bought is fine.
- When you come, write what the dish is and the basic ingredients on an index card that we provide. This helps people with food allergies stay away from food that may be harmful to them.
- If it’s your first time – start with something simple like bread and butter, chips and salsa, etc.
Are your monthly potlucks family friendly?
Yes, we love when whole families come to our events. Just keep in mind that from event to event there may or may not be places for the kids to run around and play. We also ask that younger kids be supervised by an adult during the event at all times. We do not offer childcare.
Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry. Please leave your dogs – and cats at home.
Do I need to pay to attend a potluck?
It takes a significant amount of work to coordinate, organize, promote monthly events. Help us keep our monthly potlucks free to everyone by donating what you can when you arrive or donate online before you come. Look for the donate jar. If you can’t spare a few bucks then no worries! Chip in and help clean up at the end of the event.
