This is a ‘donate what you want’ event. Register online or donate on arrival (cash only).

Join us Saturday, October 18 (4-8pm) at Mountain Run Farmโ€™s Camp Sedalia for Local Love, this year’s annual Fall Fundraiser and celebration of local food and community. We will again have a pig roast (raised by Restoration Acres!), potluck, and two new features: the beta launch of the Local Food Lynchburg regional food guide website, and we’ll end with a concert by Paddy Daughterty Quartet live in concert. It’s going to be a great family fun evening – rain or shine!

This truly will be a delightful evening for one and all. And don’t forget to bring some extra cash for the raffle! Help us raise $5,000 to support the continued work of developing the food guide – and to support our work of cultivating the regional local foodshed in the Lynchburg, Virginia area.

POTLUCK DETAILS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...

Potlucks are open to the community and the food planning is not coordinated; there is no central meal theme. Bring something healthy and yummy.

Here are some other pointers:

- Bring your own dishware, plate, utensils, etc.
- Keep it healthy. No fast food. No Twinkies.
- Keep it yummy. What good is food that is healthy but tastes bad?
- You can make your food...or buy it.
- Include a small paper or index card with your dish explaining key ingredients - especially if the food you bring includes allergens like nuts, meats, gluten, dairy, etc.
(If you forget, don't worry! We have index cards you can use)

- Come to make friends! We usually have a mix of regular attendees and first-timers. Don't assume everyone knows each one. This is a community potluck designed to facilitate networking and relationship building.

- Scared to come alone? Bring a friend! Not scared? Bring a friend anyway!

- Do not bring your dog.

- Do not bring alcohol.

- These are family friendly events! Kids are welcome. Younger kids must be attended by an adult during the event.

- You do not have to be a member to attend one of our meetings. You become a member by coming on a regular basis ๐Ÿ˜‰

- Potluck food is not coordinated. Bring what you will.

- Eating and announcements will start around 6:30pm.

- Still have questions? Use our contact form to ask any questions.
