RSVP For This Event

This is a free event but we ask that you RSVP.

Are you interested in raising healthy pasture / forest-based meats to feed your family? Regenerative animal husbandry is only one part of the process. Self-reliance also requires you regain the lost art and skill of butchery.

Join us on Saturday, August 17 (5-7pm) at Brooklyn Hills Ranch in Amherst County, Virginia for a networking potluck and demonstration of home-based hog butchery basics by farmer Fred Lyssy. Fred will be taking half a pig and showing step-by-step how to process into finished cuts.

This will be a great introduction for beginners or anyone in need of a refresher. Don’t miss it!
