Livestock can have a big impact on the health of local waterways but is totally fencing creeks off really an ecological solution for both the water and the animals?

Join us for this month’s Amherst Land & Table potluck on Saturday, August 19 (5-7pm) at Brooklyn Hills Ranch as we discuss pros and cons of fencing off creeks to prevent livestock access and how a more ecological approach may demand deeper thinking.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

COST: FREE, but we ask that you RSVP.

WHO: Anyone! All are welcome.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
– A dish to share.
– A friend (of course)!
– Your own dishware.
– A lawn chair or picnic blanket.
– Kids are welcome but they must be attended by an adult.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT.

Please park in the front field before the creekbed. Crossing the creekbed is an option for vehicles that are higher off the ground.
