ReSkill learning events are focused on reclaiming lost wisdom of generations past – homesteading, cooking, agrarian DIY know-how. Think of it as a farm, garden, and kitchen skillshare community. Work parties will be free and workshops will be paid.

Our first ReSkill work party on Saturday, March 23 (12 – 4pm) will take place at Mountain Run Farm (Angelini House) and will be lead by Mark and Allison Angelini of Mountain Run Farm / Permaculture.

We will be going over the basic materials that you will need to inoculate edible mushrooms, where to source spawn, how to source and cut your logs, ways to stack the logs once you’ve inoculated, and some light information on the mushrooms themselves. We’ll be inoculating reishi, oyster and shiitake mushrooms.

We will begin with a potluck lunch so bring simple food to share. Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Food for yourself and a few others: keep it simple.
  • Work gloves.
  • Appropriate clothes for the weather (rain or shine)

This is a free event but you must RSVP either via the website here or on Facebook. Have questions? Let us know.
