The fine folks at the Liberty University Campus Garden are going to be hosting a viewing of the documentary film ‘FRESH’ on Tuesday, March 17 at 7pm, on campus at the Lahaye Event Space (map) (in the Lahaye Student Union). (RSVP on Facebook!) (Please note: we are moving the Land and Table monthly gathering to March 24) View Larger Map If you are not familiar with the documentary, FRESH it is a hopeful film that bears witness to the emerging sustainable agriculture movement that is seeking to reinvent our food system – literally from the ground up. The movie “…celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are reinventing our food system. Each has witnessed the rapid transformation of our agriculture into an industrial model, and confronted the consequences: food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our plane” Afterwards, the organizer of Land and Table (and co-founder of the Sustainable Traditions project) will be speaking briefly on the relevance of sustainable agriculture and Creation Care to Christian faith – and local farmers will be present for conversation.
