Celebrate Local Food & Community!
The 2nd annual Land & Table Fall Fundraiser is upon us! And this year’s theme is ‘Local Love‘. In times of strife and division we need to return to the literal common ground beneath our feet, realizing we are all made of the same soil. This event is all about showing love and gratitude to the farmers, food producers, and food artisans who work hard to feed our families. We are all people of the land and are sustained by it’s abundance – if you eat food that’s you!
Join us Saturday, October 18 (4-8pm) for our annual pig roast and fundraiser in support of our mission as a non-profit to cultivate a thriving local foodshed in the Lynchburg, Virginia region. Money raised will also go towards supporting our regional food guide, Local Food Lynchburg… and we will be launching the beta version of the food guide website at the event!!

Eat Local: Grown, Raised, & Made!
We are launching the Lynchburg, Virginia region’s first local food guide! We want to connect the community with the best in local food: farms and ranches, orchards & fruit producers, wineries and breweries, farmers markets, bakeries, food artisans, local honey providers (apiaries), coffee roasters, and more.
Local Food Lynchburg will cover Lynchburg and surrounding counties, including: Bedford, Campbell, Appomattox, and Amherst. Right now our road map looks like this: Phase One will be the launch of the website. Phase Two will be the launch of a related app. Phase Three will include a supplemental print publication. Additional phases will include media-based storytelling and podcasting to promote the farms, food producers, and food artisans in our area.
Come join us! And if you are a local farmer or food artisan get listed in the food guide!
