We are working on funding and creating the Lynchburg, Virginia region’s first local food guide. We want to connect the community with the best in local food: farms and ranches, orchards & fruit producers, wineries and breweries, farmers markets, bakeries, food artisans, local honey providers (apiaries), coffee roasters, and more. Local Food Lynchburg will cover Lynchburg and surrounding counties, including: Bedford, Campbell, Appomattox, and Amherst. Phase One will include a website. Phase Two will be the launch of the app. Phase Three will include a supplemental print publication. Additional phases will include media-based storytelling and podcasting to promote the farms, food producers, and food artisans in our area.
