This is a FREE event, but we ask that you consider financially supporting our work.

Horses were once the heart and soul of the working farm. Today tractors and ATVs have replaced working horses on many farms – but horse power is still alive!

Join us Tuesday, September 16 (6-8pm) at Mountain Run Farm’s Camp Sedalia for the monthly Land & Table meeting and a focus on the role of horses on the farm and in our community.

We’ll have horse drawn carriage rides, conversation with an experienced cowboy, and time for questions on what to consider when looking to purchase a horse for your farm, ranch, or homestead.

PIG ROAST & POTLUCK: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...

This event will be a little different from our normal monthly potlucks. We will provide a whole roast pig (raised by Restoration Acres on Mountain Run Farm), you bring a side to share.

Here are some other pointers:

- This time we will provide dishware.

- Keep it healthy. No fast food. No Twinkies.
- Keep it yummy. What good is food that is healthy but tastes bad?
- You can make your food...or buy it.
- Include a small paper or index card with your dish explaining key ingredients - especially if the food you bring includes allergens like nuts, meats, gluten, dairy, etc.
(If you forget, don't worry! We have index cards you can use)

- Come to make friends! This event will be a mix of regular attendees and first-timers. Don't assume everyone knows each one. This is a community potluck designed to facilitate networking and relationship building.

- Scared to come alone? Bring a friend! Not scared? Bring a friend anyway!

- Do not bring your dog.

- Do not bring alcohol.

- These are family friendly events! Kids are welcome. Younger kids must be attended by an adult during the event.

- You do not have to be a member to attend one of our meetings. You become a member by coming on a regular basis 😉

- Potluck food is not coordinated. Bring what you will.

- Eating will start around 4:30pm at this meeting.

- Still have questions? Use our contact form to ask any questions.

COST: FREE, but we ask that you RSVP. Please consider making a small donation when you arrive. Help us keep these monthly events going.
