THIS IS A FREE EVENT, BUT YOU MUST RSVP

An opportunity to fill out a donation pledge form to support Land & Table, a 501(c)3, will be given.

Join us Sat, Nov. 9 (12-5pm) for the Land & Table Fall fundraiser: Harvest of Plenty! at Mountain Run Farm in Sedalia (northern Bedford County). This family friendly event will include:

POTLUCK!

Bring a healthy side dish and/or a healthy dessert to share. However roasted pork meat and other local meat samples will also be offered by local farms.

HOG ROAST & MEAT SAMPLES

Our friends at Restoration Acres Farm (who share land with Mountain Run Farm) are donating a hog that was pasture-raised on the farm! Mountain Run Farm and Restoration Acres will also be providing other samples of their pastured meats to compliment the potluck.

LIVE MUSIC & OPEN MIC

Enjoy live music by Brent Wills of the Brent Monster Band and Bramble Hollow Farm. We also will open the mic to the community: come play a song or two, read an excerpt from your favorite book, read a poem, perform spoken word, or just share a few words about what Land & Table means to you.

If you want to participate in the open mic feel free to let us know when you RSVP – or let us know when you arrive.

BONFIRE

Cozy up next to the fire and enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains all around. This is a great chance to network, meet like-minded folks, and enjoy Mountain Run Farm as family and friends.

Land & Table exists to revitalize the connections between local food, land, and community. We work to catalyze and strengthen small family farms, self-reliant families, and community based local food initiatives to create a thriving and resilient local food system in the Lynchburg, Virginia region.

We are a grassroots network and 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving Lynchburg and surrounding towns and counties, including: Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox, and Campbell Counties.

We offer free monthly potlucks and skillshares as well as more intensive paid workshops throughout the year. We also are working on the region’s first local food guide. Please consider becoming a financial partner and support our work as we look ahead to 2025.
