This is a FREE event, but we ask that you consider financially supporting our work.
Twenty-five years ago Joseph Martinez started with ten acres of marginal pasture in Rockbridge County, Virginia. Through eco-restoration practices and regenerative agriculture he created an ecologically diverse and biologically abundant environment, integrating native Virginia wildflowers, plants, and trees with gardens and orchards – all with the mission to create a real-world demonstration of how agriculture and wildlife can co-exist in harmony.
Join us Tuesday, August 19 (6-8pm) for the monthly Bedford Land & Table potluck, as we hear the inspiring journey of one plot of land and how it was turned into a thriving eden.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Joseph Martinez is an orchardist, apple cider vinegar brewer, and owner of Rockbridge Cider Vinegar. His first summer job when he was 14 years old was working in an apple orchard. He has been growing apple trees organically throughout the United States since 1975. Joseph has been homesteading in Rockbridge County, Virginia for 40 years.===============
