Join us for the final Land & Table potluck of the year on Tuesday, November 18, 6-8pm at Mountain Run Farm in northern Bedford County.

This meeting will be a ‘friendsgiving’ style potluck open to the public and is a great chance to meet and fellowship with others who are passionate about local food, ecological agriculture, natural health, agrarian living, and returning to a life rooted in the land. Bring a Thanksgiving or Fall themed dish to share – and if you have the gumption bring a special dessert.

We will also have a time of sharing where we will acknowledge the gifts that have come into our life this year. If you’d like to, please come ready to briefly share on what you are thankful for this year as we approach the end of 2025.

Join us Saturday, October 18 (4-8pm) at Mountain Run Farm’s Camp Sedalia for Local Love, this year’s annual Fall Fundraiser and celebration of local food and community. We will again have a pig roast (raised by Restoration Acres!), potluck, and two new features: the beta launch of the Local Food Lynchburg regional food guide website, and we’ll end with a concert by Paddy Daughterty Quartet live in concert. It’s going to be a great family fun evening – rain or shine!

This truly will be a delightful evening for one and all. And don’t forget to bring some extra cash for the raffle! Help us raise $5,000 to support the continued work of developing the food guide – and to support our work of cultivating the regional local foodshed in the Lynchburg, Virginia area.

Horses were once the heart and soul of the working farm. Today tractors and ATVs have replaced working horses on many farms – but horse power is still alive!

Twenty-five years ago Joseph Martinez started with ten acres of marginal pasture in Rockbridge County, Virginia. Through eco-restoration practices and regenerative agriculture he created an ecologically diverse and biologically abundant environment, integrating native Virginia wildflowers, plants, and trees with gardens and orchards – all with the mission to create a real-world demonstration of how agriculture and wildlife can co-exist in harmony.

Join us Tuesday, August 19 (6-8pm) for the monthly Bedford Land & Table potluck, as we hear the inspiring journey of one plot of land and how it was turned into a thriving eden.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Joseph Martinez is an orchardist, apple cider vinegar brewer, and owner of Rockbridge Cider Vinegar. His first summer job when he was 14 years old was working in an apple orchard.
