Join us for the final Land & Table potluck of the year on Tuesday, November 18, 6-8pm at Mountain Run Farm in northern Bedford County.

This meeting will be a ‘friendsgiving’ style potluck open to the public and is a great chance to meet and fellowship with others who are passionate about local food, ecological agriculture, natural health, agrarian living, and returning to a life rooted in the land. Bring a Thanksgiving or Fall themed dish to share – and if you have the gumption bring a special dessert.

We will also have a time of sharing where we will acknowledge the gifts that have come into our life this year. If you’d like to, please come ready to briefly share on what you are thankful for this year as we approach the end of 2025.

Join us on Saturday, June 21 (5-7pm) at the Land & Table Amherst monthly potluck and skillshare on the art of rotational grazing, hosted by Brooklyn Hills Ranch, a family farm focused on holistically raising regenerative meats for the local community.

With over 20 years of experience in holistic ranch management Fred Lyssy will unpack the basics of multi-species grazing and the wisdom of not just raising animals for healthy meat, but understanding what is needed for optimal soil health and what is happening beneath the ground.

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?
Anyone interested in animal husbandry, land management, and/or pursuing ecological farm practices that focus on regenerating the soil. Everyone is welcome!

Calling all: regenerative farmers, homegrowers, organic gardeners, bread bakers, kombucha brewers, chicken wranglers, raw milk renegades, new agrarians, local food advocates, back-to-landers, wannabees, and anyone obsessed with whole foods, self-reliance, and a life lived rooted in the land!

Join us on Tuesday, October 15 (6-8pm) at the Sedalia Center (Blue Room) in northern Bedford County for the October Land & Table potluck and a different kind of open community forum. Instead of one preset topic we will be inviting YOUR questions related to food and farming. You help direct the conversation! Some examples of potential ‘wild card’ forum questions:

• What can I do to help my kombucha stop tasting like vinegar?
• Should I encourage my chickens to lay eggs in the winter or let them take a break?
• How can I get more fermented foods into my family’s diet?
• How can I eat local on a budget?
• Where do I get local raw milk?
• Are cow farts really destroying the earth?
• Can I use dead leaves in my compost?
• Deer are decimating my garden – what do I do?
• Who can teach me how to do beekeeping?
• What’s your favorite pumpkin soup recipe?

From the kitchen to the pasture we all have problems to solve, mysteries to unravel, or things to learn. This is your chance to mine the minds from fellow travelers on this journey of resilience, agrarian living, and holistic eating. Don’t miss it!
