DESCRIPTION:Weather is one of the main aspects of farming and gardening that we wish we could control. It seems we are often praying for rain clouds to come\, or go! And yet\, maybe there are some things we can do to help our plants build resilience against stresses caused by the volatility of the weather. Drought is an especially unique challenge and right now in Virginia it is impacting the growing season in a big way. Are there ways we can farm and garden to help our plants navigate the stresses of drought? \nJoin us Saturday\, May 16 (5-7pm) at Brooklyn Hills Ranch\, in Amherst County\, for a potluck and skillshare as we look into best practices for raising drought-resistant plants holistically. Lead by farming couple\, Fred and Amber Lyssy\, this monthly group is focused on health from soil to body and everything in-between.
