We will also be discussing Land & Table’s milestone of transitioning into official non-profit status, our vision for transforming the food system in this area, and will be brainstorming about possible topics for events throughout the year. In the Orchard: Apple Tree Pruning Workshop (Feb 18)
Join us for this hands-on Land & Table apple tree pruning workshop with orchardist, heirloom apple enthusiast, and cidermaker John Hoskins on Saturday, February 18 (10 am – 12 noon). This will be an introductory workshop on the art and science of pruning apple trees.
L&T Book Club Launch: December Book by Joel Salatin
Our first book that we’ll be reading for the launch of the Land & Table Book Club is by self-professed ‘lunatic’ farmer Joel Salatin. Like all his books, ‘Folks This Ain’t Normal’ is a thought provoking read. We’ll be reading it through December and then will discuss the book in our first meeting on Thursday, January 5th (7:00-8:30pm) at the Bedford Central public Library in the town of Bedford.
